Week 7 Challenge - Use Valentine's Day Colors

Hi and welcome back to my blog! For this week's challenge I choose to just have fun with Valentine's Day and use mostly colors associated with that day. Red, pink, white, light blue and such. This is a very easy challenge because all of us Project Lifers have cards that go with love and such. Your picture's don't need to be Valentine related though. Since I
belong to 2 kit clubs I am always getting cards with the word love and such on them. I also got the Becky Higgins value kit Love Notes that I used mostly for this challenge. I wanted it simple for you.
I hope you like this week's challenge and I hope you have lots of fun doing it. Enjoy and have a great week. :)

Week 6 Challenge - Use Stamps

Hello again and welcome to my blog! For this week's challenge I decided to do something a little fun and have you use stamps for this challenge. I tried to put a stamp on at least almost every card where I saw fit for it but sometimes that was a little difficult. I am still keeping with my Valentine's Day theme for these first 2 weeks of February so
I worked with that and also for the first time had enough photos for an event to use almost an entire page with just photos. I finally got a Raskog from Ikea and I took pictures of the whole put together process. I saved one space for the journal card which I did use a stamp on so I know you can do this. I hope you all have a great weekend and I will see you next week. Thanks for coming. :)

Week 4 Challenge - Twine

Hi and hello to everyone. Welcome once again to my blog! I hope you had a great weekend. Here is my Week 4 Project Life Challenge - Twine. You don't see a lot of pocketed scrapbooking using twine as I found out on Pintrest looking for ideas for something different. I did the
normal wrap around the cards but I also added a few of my own ideas for you. Last week I talked about how I choose my cards and this week I thought I would tell you how I choose my page protectors. First off whatever the page was the week before is obviously what I will use for half of this week but I chose the second page by either my mood or my cards and pictures. To start off I have purchased all the styles of page protectors you can get from Becky Higgins so that gives me a great many choices. I also printed out from her website a reference page of all these page protectors to make it easy for me to choose. If I by chance have any vertical pictures that week I will choose a page protector with vertical inserts. Then I go through my reference page and chose one that has a vertical insert. Also if I have a particular card I want to use will also determine page protector format. I just want you to understand that you do have choices on this though a lot of people choose to stick with Design A. Also each week I will put down which page protector I use so you will see the differences.
Thanks so much for looking at my blog again and for following me on this journey. I really appreciate it. :)

Week 3 Challenge - Wood Veneer

Hello and welcome to week 3 of my Project Life challenge - wood veneer. So sorry this took so long to get up but I was down sick with a really bad sore throat. It was horrible too. It hurt to swallow and talk and I lost my voice several times. On to the challenge. Wood veneers have become so big in the scrapbooking field right now and they work so great with Project Life.
They are just the right size for it. I put some sort of wood veneer I tried onto most of the cards in some form. You also may of noticed with my cards is unless it is a challenge and you will see some of these, I am really eclectic with the colors. I don't try to match too much. I just go for what I like right then. Most of my cards come from two kit clubs. I do, however, own over 10 Core Kits so I do have quite a collection to chose from. I just mix up my page protectors choose which cards I am going to use and get to work putting pics on them.
I hope you liked my challenge last week and I really hope you will join Week 3's challenge which will be up tomorrow. Thanks for looking at my blog and have a great week. :)

Week 2 Challenge - Ribbon

Here is my first challenge of the year! For this week my challenge to myself was to use some ribbon. I didn't want to just tie some ribbon on either. I wanted to use it in a creative way. So one of the cards already had some printed ribbon on it so I replicated it. It is on the above page 2nd row middle. I just covered over the printed stuff and made my own banners
with the ribbon. I just stapled on my ribbon. I also replicated the same thing on the 1st row farthest card on the right. I had a lot of fun doing this. I really like doing weekly challenges as it pulls yourself out of ruts. It keeps you from doing the same thing each week. This gives me a change in my style too. You can join me too if you would like. The challenges are open to everyone. Just leave a comment in the comment section with a link to your creation. Thanks so much for looking at my blog and I hope you have a great week!
